New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel will be joining the Paraguayan national team ahead of the slate of friendlies in June. The player will celebrate his fourth call up as the team will play Peru, Chile and Panama between June 7th and the 16th.

Coronel has becoming a force for New York, making over 100 starts for the Red Bulls and pushing his way onto the national stage. This season he has made 14 starts with an over 60 percent save percentage. Coronel is also expected to join Paraguay for the upcoming Copa America tournament set to start in July.

In his six appearances in international play, Coronel has notched three clean sheets and already helped his country in World Cup qualifies in 2023. This call-up means that he more than likely will miss the team’s next two games against New England and Nashville.
