USL Super League, the new first division women’s soccer league kicking off this summer, has secured an exclusive deal with NBC’s streaming service Peacock. Known to soccer fans as the home of the English Premier League, USL is hoping that they can capitalize on the upstart streaming service to make an impact in their inaugural year.

“NBC and Peacock have raised the bar for soccer coverage,” said Super League president Amanda Vandervort. “Their commitment is a testament to what we are building. It affirms the Super League’s integral role in elevating women’s soccer and bringing more opportunities for players, coaches and fans in the women’s game.”

The deal with NBC is a multi-year one where the league will also utilize the SportsEngine Play streaming services as well as other digital products. Currently SportsEngine Play streams USL League Two and W League games. Both are the semi-pro leagues for the USL. Expectations are that Peacock will stream all 115 regular season and playoff games for the new upstart league.

Currently, NWSL has their television rights split among many different platforms including CBS, ESPN, Amazon Prime Video and Scripps Sports. While no numbers have been given for the monetary value of the deal, the USL Super League will be an easier follow since it will be consolidated to just one streaming service.

USL also has two professional men’s leagues, Championship and League One, that have deals to stream with both CBS sports as well as ESPN. The inclusion of NBC means that the overall organization will have a footprint in nearly all major broadcasters in the United States.
