Red Bull New York has announced their year-end roster decisions, a move that is made by every MLS team once they are no longer in contention for MLS Cup. The major decisions show the departure of Carlos Coronel as a free agent as wells as the departure of Curtis Ofori and Kyle Duncan. The club declined both defenders’ options while also picking up the 2026 option for Sean Nealis and Peter Stroud.
Much has been made about the off-season moves for Red Bull New York as the club failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2009. A new head coach for the club has yet to be named but Julian de Guzman has stepped in as the club’s new Head of Sport, guiding the club’s roster decisions.
Two players are also in negotiations with the club, leaving their status in flux. Those players are goalkeeper AJ Marcucci, still recovering from a season-ending injury, and veteran defender Tim Parker.
Many familiar names will remain with the club in 2026, barring changes during the January transfer window. Below is the current roster, following the moves:
