New York Red Bulls have announced a new deal for defender Dylan Nealis who will now stay with the club through the 2027 season with an option for 2028. The news comes as the club is solidifying its core players who have contributed to their strong start in the 2024 campaign.

“Dylan has been an important member of the backline this season,” said head coach Sandro Schwarz. “He has proven to be a leader in our group and we are happy to keep him on our roster for the years to come.”

Nealis has started 38 games for Red Bulls dating back to the 2022 season. Over that time he has played over three-thousand minutes and become an important part to the stability of the Red Bulls defense. Previously, Nealis played for Inter Miami during their inaugural season in 2020 and with Nashville SC.

The Massapequa native has the third overall pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft. His collegiate career took him through Georgetown where he made 78 appearances, leading the team to a College Cup title in 2019.

“Dylan has enjoyed a great start to the season and has showcased to be a very important member of our roster,” said Head of Sport Jochen Schneider.
