New York Red Bulls midfielder Wiki Carmona has signed a new deal with the club, extending his stay through 2027 with an option for 2028. Carmona is having one of his most productive seasons with the club, becoming a weekly starter and scoring three goals with three assists.

“He has shown to be a reliable player for our club this season,” said head coach Sandro Schwarz. “And (he) has progressed really well since the beginning of the season.”

Carmona has been with Red Bulls for four years, splitting his time between the first team an reserve side New York Red Bulls II. It wasn’t until this season that he took the push forward towards becoming a permanent fixture for the club. Already he has made 18 starts, the most in his career. Under Schwarz he has unlocked much of his potential as the club looks to push for success in the upcoming Leagues Cup and MLS Cup Playoffs.

“Wiki has shown great development over the last three years,” said Head of Sport Jochen Schneider. “We are very excited to keep Wiki with the club for the long-term and continue to see him grow and succeed on the pitch.”
