Julian Hall Extends with Red Bull Thru 2030

Red Bull New York have announced that star young forward Julian Hall has extended his contract with the club, pushing his stay until at least the end of the 2029-30 season. The 19 year-old, New York-native, will occupy a U-22 Initiative spot, meaning that the club is able to invest in keeping, and paying, a player who is under the age of 22.

“He’s earned this in every way,” said head coach Michael Bradley ahead of this weekend’s clash with Philadelphia Union. “From the first second this season, he has been really, really important player for us. When you think about Jules, you think about the total package of qualities that he has as a young attacking player. So he has shown that he can score goals, he has shown that he can set-up goals and he is the physical profile and his mentality also means that everything he does for us against the ball, in terms of his pressing, his chasing, his sprinting, his work to make the game really hard on the other team, that’s also a really important part of what he brings to us.”

Hall joined Red Bull as a professional in 2023 as part of Red Bull New York II. Last season he worked closely with Michael Bradley as the club won their second third division championship by defeating Colorado Rapids II on penalties. While he didn’t play a major part in the club, as he’s been splitting time with the first team, he showed his ability and an early indicator as to why Bradley trusts in him.

That trust was rewarded immediately as Hall scored twice in his first appearance of 2026 against Orlando City. Now, just months later, he finds himself a fixture on the first team, replacing veteran striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. Even when he isn’t playing the striker role, he has a place in the starting line-up as he doubles as a winger if needed.

“He has the trust of his teammates and coaching staff,” said Head of Sport Julian de Guzman. “His mentality and the way he continues to grow, this new contract reflects how highly we value Julian and the role we see him playing for our club.”

This season Hall has nine goals in MLS and has become an almost impossible player to avoid on any game plan. As the club pushes to return to the playoffs, locking in such an important piece of the team is paramount with another test coming against Philadelphia on Saturday.
